Faculty Leader definition

Faculty Leader is a Professional Instructor who volunteers and is approved by their instructional ▇▇▇▇ to serve as the department liaison to the course being developed. The Faculty Leader’s role, in conjunction with the Academic Division’s ▇▇▇▇, is to ensure that the course meets master syllabi requirements upon completion. The Faculty Leader is also responsible for mentoring all new online instructors for the course in this contract, unless the Academic Division ▇▇▇▇ designates another faculty member. Duties for this role are defined by Paragraph 0105.5.

Examples of Faculty Leader in a sentence

  • Where both Program Leaders are faculty, if the primary Faculty Leader withdraws from the program, then the second Faculty Leader will be called upon to take over primary responsibility for program.

  • If reasonable efforts to resolve the issue(s) are not successful, the principal may designate a new Faculty Leader to serve until the end of the school year.

  • One supplement for each Faculty Leader shall be authorized for each appropriately constituted Faculty Unit.

  • Upon hearing all concerns, a determination will be collaboratively made, whether the Faculty Leader will be replaced or continue in the positions for which they were recommended.

  • Participate in a course design meeting with a Consultation Team made up of one instructional designer and the ▇▇▇▇ or Faculty Leader for their academic area, during which the application materials will be reviewed.

  • Any failure to participate in the Program as designed and determined by the Faculty Leader (e.g., failure to attend class, failure to participate in required events or activities, failure to submit academic work, disruption of classes or activities).

  • Misconduct refers to Student’s actions that violate student conduct policies or that, in the judgment of the Faculty Leader and/or other Program officials, jeopardize Student’s own welfare or that of fellow students and/or the Program.
