Faculty Appointment definition

Faculty Appointment means full-time employment as a teacher, counselor, librarian, or other positions for which the training, experience, and responsibilities are comparable as determined by the appointing authority, except administrative appointments and except special faculty appointments as permitted by applicable law. Faculty appointment shall also mean division heads and administrators to the extent that such division heads or administrators have had or do have status as a teacher, counselor, or librarian.
Faculty Appointment means full-time employment as a teacher, counselor, librarian, or other position for which the training, experience, and responsibilities are comparable as determined by the appointing authority, except administration appointments. “Academic employee appointment” shall also mean department heads, unit administrators and other administrators to the extent that such department heads, unit administrators or other administrators have had or do have status as a teacher, counselor, or librarian. RCW 28B.50.851(2a). The term “academic employee” as used within Articles VIII-XI of the Agreement will imply that such academic employee has a “faculty appointment” per this definition.
Faculty Appointment will also mean division, department, or other administrators who have had and do have status as teachers, counselors, or librarians. "Faculty appointment" shall not mean, however, "special faculty appointment" as defined by RCW 28B.50.851(2)(b), provided that the conditions prescribed therein governing transfer and/or termination shall apply. "Faculty appointment" also shall not mean full-time faculty non-tenure track appointments as described in Article 4.3.

  • The term of this Health Professions Faculty Appointment shall be extended for successive terms of 12 months unless UNMC gives notice of non-reappointment and termination in accordance with the requirements of Section 4.4.7 of the Bylaws of the Board of Regents of the University of Nebraska (Bylaws).

Faculty Appointment means full-time employment as a teacher, counselor, librarian, or other position for which training, experience and responsibilities are comparable as determined by the Appointing Authority, except administrative appointments as defined by law. Full-time employment shall mean that the faculty member (a) is either tenured or tenure-track; (b) receives an annual personnel contract for full-time employment; and (c) is assigned duties as specified in Article 7 for a division or program for three (3) complete successive quarters, excluding summer quarter and approved leaves of absence.
Faculty Appointment shall also mean department heads to the extent that they have had or do have status as an instructor, counselor, or librarian, and shall also mean employment on a reduced workload basis as defined by RCW 28B.50.851(2)(a).
Faculty Appointment except a special faculty appointment, shall mean full-time employment as an instructor, counselor, librarian, or other position for which the training, experience, and responsibilities are comparable as determined by the appointing authority, except administrative appointments; “faculty appointment” shall mean department chairperson and administrators to the extent that such department chairperson and administrators have had or do have status as an instructor, counselor, or librarian.
Faculty Appointment shall not mean, however, "special faculty appointment" as defined by RCW 28B.50.851(2) (b), provided that the conditions prescribed therein governing transfer and/or termination shall apply.
