Extra Run definition

Extra Run means any school related or extracurricular activity involving the transportation of more than ten (10) pupils which is not otherwise defined as a run in this Article. This includes runs to a location only with no return pick up required shall be a two (2) hour minimum or actual time, whichever is greater.

Examples of Extra Run in a sentence

  • The definition of a short notice trip is an extra trip that cannot be placed on the Extra Run Sheet prior to the normal assigning of the extra trips.

  • Such runs will be assigned to the most senior driver who has the available time outside their regular route and who requests such assignment provided the Extra Run does not extend their work day beyond eight (8.0) hours.

  • When an Extra Run is scheduled, the Transportation Supervisor shall post the run and bus drivers interested shall sign up, with the run assigned to the next interested bus driver in rotation.

  • All interested bus drivers shall sign up in person on an Extra Run Sign-up sheet which is placed in a locked box.
