Extra-Duty Assignments definition

Extra-Duty Assignments. Supervision assignments that are compensated outside of the regular contract at a specific negotiated rate. Grievance: A written complaint by a Professional Employee or group of Professional Employees that there has been a violation, misinterpretation, or misapplication of this agreement.
Extra-Duty Assignments means assignments unrelated to a teacher’s professional certification, or additional assignments which, although covered by the member’s certification, are performed on an irregular or unscheduled basis including but not limited to assignments which are less than one full month in duration.
Extra-Duty Assignments outside of the regular school day shall not result in a reduction of prep periods.
