Experienced Engineer definition
Experienced Engineer means a Professional Engineer with the undermentioned qualifications in any particular employment the adequate discharge of any portion of the duties of which employment requires qualification of the employee as (or at least equal to those of) a Member of the Institution of Engineers, Australia.

Engineering employees (personnel who are normally eligible to become members of the Association of Professional Engineers, Scientists, and Managers of Australia; Experienced Engineer shall include those possessing experience, background and particular skills required to perform the engineering duties necessary at JDFPG regardless of formal qualifications) shall negotiate a base rate of pay acceptable to both themselves and management prior to commencement of employment under this Agreement.
Subject to meeting the classification definitions, the minimum classification for a position requiring the exercise of duties by an Experienced Engineer must be no less than Band 5 Level 1.
More Definitions of Experienced Engineer
Experienced Engineer means a Professional engineer with the undermentioned qualifications engaged in any particular employment where the adequate discharge of any portion of the duties requires qualifications of the employee as (or at least equal to those of) a member of Engineers Australia. The qualifications are as follows:
(a) membership of Engineers Australia; or
(b) having graduated in a four or five year course at a university recognised by Engineers Australia, four years’ experience on professional engineering duties since becoming a Qualified engineer; or
(c) not having so graduated, five years of such experience. Note: An experienced engineer with 5 years experience must still hold a three year engineering degree or equivalent diploma.
