Expected service life definition

Expected service life means the period of time that the Department may assign to equipment purchased in whole or in part with grant funds during which the equipment can be expected to be serviceable and in which the Department shall maintain an interest.
Expected service life means the period of time for which a component of the Infrastructure, including, piece of Equipment, material, component, device or system, as applicable, is expected to function while undergoing Custodial Maintenance but without needing scheduled maintenance that interrupts the operation of the asset, reactive unscheduled maintenance that does not interrupt the operation of the asset, or proactive regularly scheduled maintenance as part of a planned preventive maintenance regime.
Expected service life means the period in which the equipment performs satisfactorily under certain conditions equivalent or quite similar to actual operation conditions. It does not mean a performance guarantee period.
