Ex-ante regulation definition

Ex-ante regulation means prospective or forward-looking regulatory measures and tools that are imposed on individual firms or groups of firms in a market, in order to prevent certain behaviour from taking place.
Ex-ante regulation means regulatory obligations aimed at ensuring development of economic competition in electronic communications networks and/or services markets, the necessity of which is determined by regulatory authorities based on the results of the analysis of such markets and which are imposed on electronic communications networks and/or services providers with significant market power as designated by a regulatory authority for a limited period;
