ETSO means European Technical Standard Order. The European Technical Standard Order is a detailed airworthiness specification issued by the European Aviation Safety Agency to ensure compliance with the requirements of Commission Regulation (EU) No 748/2012 as it had effect in domestic legislation on IP completion date and as the same may be amended from time to time as a minimum performance standard for specified articles [Regulation (EU) No 748/2012];

• Other requirements, such as training or position of record (e.g., TSO, LTSO, ETSO, EMT and STI), will impact eligibility when there is a legitimate operational need for such consideration to the relevant shift to be worked.

• If an FAA TSO Authorization holder, FAA Letter of Design Approval holder, or a ETSO Authorization holder elects to surrender the TSO/ETSO approval issued by the FAA or EASA, the FAA or EASA shall immediately notify the other in writing of the action.

• Awarding of Intraday ATC is done by ELES, as Auction Operator, based on the continuous trad- ing mechanism via the ETSO Scheduling System for both directions.

• Resale Notifications for Yearly and Monthly PTRs assigned by Auction Operator must be notified to Auction Operator via ETSO Scheduling System (ELES) or exceptionally via fax and via Auction System (HEP OPS).

• Parts and appliances approved under ETSOA will be delivered to Europe with an individual EASA Form 1 issued under the privileges of an EASA Production Organisation Approval issued in accordance with Commission Regulation (EU) No 748/2012, stating that the part and appliance complies with the ETSO and is in a condition for safe operation.
