prescribed authority means the authorities specified in rule 12;
designated authority means any of the following;
Lead Authority means the local authority appointed by the Parties under this agreement to lead on a particular function in accordance with Clause 12.
Appropriate Authorities means any and/or all of (as may be relevant under the circumstances) the UK government bodies and/or government bodies/agencies in the territory where Serious Misconduct may have or is suspected of having taken place, which have responsibility for safeguarding, recording, investigating, enforcing and/or determining allegations of Serious Misconduct and which may include (but shall not be limited to), the DFID, the National Crime Agency, UK Police force, local territory police forces, and social services.
Combined Authority means an authority established under section 103(1) of the Local Democracy, Economic Development and Construction Act 2009 or an authority to which a delegation of the Secretary of State’s functions has been made under section 39A of the Greater London Authority Act 1999;
