ESMU definition

ESMU means the Environment and Social Management Unit established pursuant to the Project Implementing Decision NoDG/179/2007 dated November 23, 2007 by the Project Implementing Entity (as defined hereinafter) to handle environmental and social activities related to the Project.
ESMU means the Environmental and Social Management Unit established by the Borrower in February 2010, that will be responsible for monitoring of compliance with the Guarantor’s national and state level policies and the ESSF;
ESMU means the Environment and Social Management Unit referred to in Section 5.01 (d) of this Agreement established by SNEL to handle environmental and social activities related to the Project.

Examples of ESMU in a sentence

  • ESMU will be headed by an officer of the rank of Executive Engineer (EE), and will be responsible for all activities related to resettlement and rehabilitation.

  • ESMU will provide all necessary help to PAPs in presenting his/her case before the GRC.

  • The ESMU team with assistance from NGOs/CBOs will ensure that messages are being conveyed clearly during consultations and debriefing sessions are conducted with the engagement team while in the field and help to assess outcomes and provide the opportunity to amend the process where necessary.

Related to ESMU

  • ESMP or “Environmental and Social Management Plan” means with respect to each activity under the Project pursuant to which the ESMF requires it, a plan to be prepared by the Recipient pursuant to Section I.D.1 of Schedule 2 to this Agreement, in accordance with the provisions of the ESMF and approved by the Association, setting out measures to mitigate any adverse environmental and social impacts arising from such activities; and “ESMPs” means more than one ESMP.

  • ESMF means Environmental and Social Management Framework, the document adopted by the Recipient on December 29, 2006, as updated as of June 21, 2010, consisting of a framework outlining the modalities for social and environmental screening of Project activities and rules and procedures for the preparation and implementation of ESIA to be complied with, as the case may be, prior to carrying out such activity.

  • ESM means “Ex-Servicemen and their Wards” of Haryana.

  • PMU means the Project Management Unit established in accordance with paragraph 3 of Schedule 5 to this Loan Agreement;

  • Crown means the government of the United Kingdom (including the Northern Ireland Assembly and Executive Committee, the Scottish Executive and the National Assembly for Wales), including, but not limited to, government ministers and government departments and particular bodies, persons, commissions or agencies from time to time carrying out functions on its behalf;

  • ESMA means the European Securities and Markets Authority;

  • Salmon means Pacific Salmon of the species Oncorhynchus nerka including sockeye; Oncorhynchus kisutch including coho; Oncorhynchus gorbuscha including pink; Oncorhynchus keta including chum; and Oncorhynchus tshawytcha including chinook; anadromous whitefish and cisco (Coregonidae spp.); and anadromous Arctic char (Salvelinus alpinus).

  • SA means the booklet that describes the Health Care Coverage provided to Enrolled Members. The Subscriber Agreement(s) applicable to the initial Rating Period are listed in Section III.

  • Mauritius means the Republic of Mauritius and includes:

  • Corporation/ Corpn./ Department means the Central Warehousing Corporation.

  • SADC means the Southern African Development Community;

  • Gas Corporation means the body corporate established by section 4 of the Gas Corporation Act 1994;

  • Embalmer means any person engaged in the practice of embalming.

  • CJA means the Courts of Justice Act, RSO 1990, c C-43, as amended;

  • Next Michigan development corporation means that term as defined in section 3 of the next Michigan development act, 2010 PA 275, MCL 125.2953.

  • agricultural holding means a portion of land not less than 0.8 hectares in extent used solely or mainly for the purpose of agriculture, horticulture or for breeding or keeping domesticated animals, poultry or bees;

  • ESBD means the Electronic State Business Daily, the electronic marketplace where State of Texas bid opportunities over $25,000 are posted. The ESBD may currently be accessed at http://www.txsmartbuy.com/sp.

  • LHSIA means the Local Health System Integration Act, 2006, and the regulations made under it, as it and they may be amended from time to time;

  • Biofuel means liquid or gaseous fuel for transport produced from biomass;

  • China means the People’s Republic of China, excluding, for purposes of this Agreement, Hong Kong, the Macau Special Administrative Region of the PRC and Taiwan.

  • Premier means the Premier of the Province of Eastern Cape;

  • PTE means a prohibited transaction class exemption issued by the U.S. Department of Labor, as any such exemption may be amended from time to time.

  • Family farm corporation means a corporation founded for the purpose of farming agricultural land in which the majority of the voting stock is held by and the majority of the stockholders are persons or the spouse of persons related to each other within the fourth degree of kinship, according to the rules of the civil law, and at least one of the related persons is residing on or actively operating the farm, and none of whose stockholders are a corporation. A family farm corporation does not cease to qualify under this division where, by reason of any devise, bequest, or the operation of the laws of descent or distribution, the ownership of shares of voting stock is transferred to another person, as long as that person is within the degree of kinship stipulated in this division.

  • Public corporation means a county, city, village, township, port district, drainage district, special assessment district, or metropolitan district of this state, or a board, commission, or another authority or agency created by or under an act of the legislature of this state.

  • EUMA means the “SAP Delivered Support Agreement” which sets out the terms and conditions under which SAP provides support to End Users and which will be provided by SAP on a deal by deal basis.

  • PEBB means the public employees benefits board.
