Engineering Station definition

Engineering Station or “Eng. Sta.” means a method of spatial referencing, in which the locations of features are described in terms of measurements along a linear element, from a defined starting point. For example, Engineering Station 1145+86 on a roadway is 114,586 feet from the start of the roadway.

Examples of Engineering Station in a sentence

  • Engineering Station 1+74 - the initial 13-foot clearance point of the track.

  • Construct the remainder of Track A and install a sliding derail with wheel ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ at or near Engineering Station 2+54 and a bumper at the end of the track.

  • Track D: Engineering Station 0+00 - the initial switch connection.

  • Engineering Station 16+51 - the right-of-way boundary line of the Railroad.

  • The Industry shall own the portion of Track A from the 13-foot clearance point to the end of the track, all of Track C, the portion of Track D from the point of switch to the 13-foot clearance point at Engineering Station 18+88, and all of Track E, Track F, Track G and future Track H (hereinafter “Industry-owned Track”).
