Engineering Project means the work assignment to be carried out by all pieces of equipment combined for a specified, pre‐determined worksite. A project is not limited by a road designation, but is defined by the nature of the works and may include multiple roads. An example of this is the use of equipment for surface maintenance on several roads that makes up one project. The project’s pre‐determined worksite must be well‐defined and documented [NB: there are considerations that may affect Prime Contractor and safety (e.g., crew travel to and from the worksite may or may not be excluded from the project or mobilization/demobilization to or from the worksite may be included or excluded as part of the project)]

Engineering Project means a building or structure the plans for which may be prepared, designed, signed, and sealed by a professional engineer pursuant to section 7 of this act.

• A-E shall coordinate and be available for meetings with OC Engineering Project Management Staff and the regulatory agencies to respond to comments, discuss terms for mitigation or other project issues as needed.

• Within five working days of each meeting required by OC Public Works, the A-E shall submit a memorandum summarizing the results of the meeting to OC Engineering Project Management Staff for concurrence and provide a project schedule for completion of the tasks to be performed.

• Initial Scoping/Project Study Session(s): A-E shall attend and/or, at the request of OC Engineering Project Management Staff, direct scoping sessions to ensure that all environmental project-related issues are identified and that any relevant comments from outside sources are addressed in the preparation of the environmental document.

• Consultant represents that it is experienced in providing [Preliminary Engineering, Project Report/Environmental Document, Plans, Specifications and Estimates, and Construction Management, Materials Testing, Construction Surveying and Public Outreach] services to public clients, is licensed in the State of California, and is familiar with the plans of City.
