Engine Group definition

Engine Group means a group of engines selected by the constructor, approved by the competent authority, which as a result of their design must all have similar features as regards the level of exhaust and air-pollutant particle emissions and meet the requirements of this chapter, the adjustment or modification of individual engines being permissible after the type approval within fixed limits;
Engine Group has the meaning specified in the preamble and includes, but is not limited to, any funds and accounts with respect to which: (i) one or more members of the Engine Group are the only general partners or managing members or act as the only investment managers and (ii) voting power or investment power (within the meaning of Rule 13d-3 promulgated by the SEC under the Exchange Act) are not delegated to or shared with any person or entity other than a member of the Engine Group or any of its controlled Affiliates.
Engine Group means a series of diesel engines to which the guidance specified in 4.4.6 of the NOx Technical Code applies. These diesel engines form a smaller series, produced for similar engine application, and may require minor adjustments and modifications during installation or in service on board.
