EMT-D definition

EMT-D means emergency medical technician defibrillation. “EMT-I” means emergency medical technician intermediate. “EMT-P” means emergency medical technician paramedic. “FR” means first responder.

  • A) All represented employees who obtain and maintain EMT-D qualification shall be entitled to additional compensation in the amount of $15.00 per pay period.

  • The annual professional proficiency test will include, but not be limited to: Minimum Company Standards, Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus, EMT 1-A, EMT-D, Personal Performance Standards (physical agility test).

  • Recurrent Lifeguards - who have attained certification as an Emergency Medical Technician I (EMT-D) shall be advanced to the next successively higher pay-rate step with no loss of hours previously earned toward a step increase.
