EMS Call definition

EMS Call means first responder and ambulance service provided to evaluate and treat medical conditions of recent onset and severity that would lead a prudent layperson, possessing an average knowledge of medicine and health, to believe that urgent and/or unscheduled care is required.
EMS Call means an advanced life support, prehospital emergency medical services response which includes dispatch, scene response, patient care and participation in specific assessment and treatment skills required of a licensed AEMT, but does not include the transport of a patient to a hospital.¶
