Emission Control Area definition

Emission Control Area means a special sea area established in accordance with Annex VI of the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships (MARPOL);
Emission Control Area means an area where the adoption of special mandatory measures for emissions from ships is required to prevent, reduce and control air pollution from SOx, NOx, and particulate matter and its attendant adverse impacts on human health and the environment. Emission Control Areas shall include those listed in, or designated under, regulations 13 and 14 of this Annex.

Emission Control Area means the areas as delineated in Schedule 3 together with any other sea area, including a port area, so designated as an emission control area in any amendment to the Protocol of 1997 as may be in effect from time to time in respect of the Islands;
