Eminence definition

Eminence means distinguished ability in rank, in attainment of superior knowledge and skill in comparison with the generally accepted standards and achievements in the area in which the authorization is sought as provided in R277-520-5.
Eminence means the same as that terms is defined in Section R277-303-9.
Eminence which means distinction or fame, is a true definition of the word, but does not fit here because the address says "a simple dream of dignity." Being famous or having any kind of eminence is not simple. And although it can be dignified to exercise Choice C, self-control, that is a different shade of meaning for the word and does not work here. That would be a better choice if the sentence referred to someone groveling at the feet of a love who had spurned him or her. "Have some dignity!" In this speech, that's not quite the intended meaning.
