Emergency payment means a pay- ment made under an emergency de- fined as a hurricane, tornado, storm, flood, high water, wind-driven water, tidal wave, tsunami, earthquake, vol- canic eruption, landslide, mud slide, snowstorm, drought, fire, explosion, or other catastrophe which requires Fed- eral emergency assistance to supple- ment State and local efforts to save lives and property, and ensure public health and safety; and the release or threatened release of hazardous sub- stances.

Examples of Emergency payment in a sentence
