Embedded Memory definition

Embedded Memory is that part of a semiconductor which consists neither of a memory IC nor module components and which assumes the function of memory ICs within the semiconductor but performs solely storage functions and no significant data processing operations other than data processing pertaining to storage, readouts, backup or error correction. Examples include, inter alia, embedded DRAM and embedded Flash.
