Eligible Faculty definition

Eligible Faculty means a professor from a university and/or research institute of the Recipient eligible to benefit from a Postgraduate Equity and Competitiveness Scholarship (as hereinafter defined), in accordance with the provisions of the Operational Manual (as hereinafter defined), and the provisions of paragraph 6 of Schedule 4 to this Agreement.

Eligible Faculty. The provisions of this article will apply only to those Faculty members who are Unit Members on the 25th day of April of the academic year immediately preceding the academic year in which the increase is effective and whose appointment status as of August 15, 20092011, and August 14, 201015, 2012, of the year for which the increase is effective is continued and is within the bargaining unit described in Section 1 of Article II of this contract. In addition, only continuing faculty whose performance was judged satisfactory or better as a result of their most recently completed formal performance review shall be eligible for salary increases.

Examples of Eligible Faculty in a sentence

  • Upon entering the Program, Eligible Faculty Members give up tenure.

  • Eligible Faculty Members participating in the Program do not enjoy the benefits of tenure.

  • Teaching, research and service assignments during the period of phased retirement are individually negotiated by the Eligible Faculty Member and the appropriate supervisors and/or personnel committee(s).

  • Each Eligible Faculty member shall cast his or her vote on the applicable official voting form.

  • An Eligible Faculty member may not vote on any matter concerning his/her reappointment, promotion, conferral of tenure or in any matter involving a conflict of interest.

  • Faculty on an unpaid leave of absence shall not be Eligible Faculty.

  • Eligible Faculty Members may apply for family care and medical leave pursuant to the District's policy adopted in accordance with such Acts.

  • Eligible Faculty Members do not have an absolute right to participate in the Program.

  • D Recommendation from the Committee of the Eligible Faculty In all votes taken on personnel matters only “yes” and “no” votes are counted.

  • An application to enter the Program must be submitted to the Eligible Faculty Member’s Department or Division Head.

Eligible Faculty means all the Eligible Members of the
Eligible Faculty means all tenure track faculty who are not tenured (eligible for tenure) and all faculty below the rank of full professor (eligible for promotion).
Eligible Faculty means any probationary or tenured professional stream faculty member whose home unit is SHRM, whose normal teaching load is 2.5 FCE or higher, and who does not already have another research related teaching load reduction for the year in which a Research-Based Teaching Load Reduction release is sought. Eligible Faculty means all Full-Time Tenured Faculty who are projected to have 10 years of Continuous Service at the University as of the later of August 31, 2018 or the last day of the Academic Year that ends immediately prior to the commencement of the phased retirement period, and whose Age plus Years of Service at the University as of that date is projected to total or exceed75. Full-Time Tenured Faculty holding chair, dean or other administrative positions must resign from their administrative positions on a date to be determined by their supervisor, which shall be no later than the date on which they retire from their Full-Time Tenured Faculty positions. Faculty on sabbatical, short-term disability and other University-approved leaves of absence who are expected to return to their regular duties at the University will be eligible if they satisfy the requirements described in Part II above. Faculty on a long-term disability leave of absence will not be eligible. Faculty members who have signed individual separation agreements with the University, pursuant to which a phased retirement period began before July 1, 2018, also are ineligible for the Option.

Related to Eligible Faculty

  • Eligible facility means any hospital, skilled nursing facility, intermediate care facility, or basic care facility licensed by the state department of health, or any assisted living facility licensed by the department of human services; and

  • Eligible Family Member means a member of the Subscriber’s family that is or becomes eligible to enroll for coverage under this Plan as a Dependent.

  • Eligible Foreign Accounts means Accounts with respect to which the account debtor does not have its principal place of business in the United States and that (i) are supported by one or more letters of credit in an amount and of a tenor, and issued by a financial institution, acceptable to Bank, or (ii) that Bank approves on a case-by-case basis.

  • Eligible Fund means an open-end fund managed by Xxxxxx and designated by the Boards as a fund that may be chosen by a Participant as a fund in which the Participant’s Account may be deemed to be invested.

  • Eligible veteran means an individual who is certified by the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs as meeting all of the following conditions:

  • Independent educational evaluation means an evaluation conducted by a qualified examiner who is not employed by the public agency responsible for the education of the child in question.

  • Eligible student means a student who is eighteen years or older.

  • Eligibility Requirements means, with respect to any Person, that such Person (i) has total assets (in name or under management) in excess of $600,000,000 and (except with respect to a pension advisory firm or similar fiduciary) capital/statutory surplus or shareholder’s equity of $250,000,000 and (ii) is regularly engaged in the business of making or owning commercial real estate loans or operating commercial mortgage properties.

  • eligible foreign securities depository means a securities depository or clearing agency, incorporated or organized under the laws of a country other than the United States, which operates (i) the central system for handling securities or equivalent book-entries in that country, or (ii) a transnational system for the central handling of securities or equivalent book-entries. The Customer represents that its Board of Directors has approved each of the Subcustodians listed in Schedule B to this Agreement and the terms of the subcustody agreements between the Bank and each Subcustodian, which are attached as Exhibits I through of Schedule B, and further represents that its Board has determined that the use of each Subcustodian and the terms of each subcustody agreement are consistent with the best interests of the Fund(s) and its (their) shareholders. The Bank will supply the Customer with any amendment to Schedule B for approval. As requested by the Bank, the Customer will supply the Bank with certified copies of its Board of Directors resolution(s) with respect to the foregoing prior to placing Assets with any Subcustodian so approved.

  • Participating Prosthetic Provider means a Prosthetic Provider who has a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan to provide services to you at the time services are rendered.

  • Eligibility Requirement means all eligibility requirements and other qualification requirements for a person to act in the applicable Corporate Trust Capacity under any Appointment as set forth in the related Corporate Trust Contract, including any required authorizations or licenses from the Federal National Mortgage Association, the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation, the Government National Mortgage Association, the Federal Housing Administration, the Federal Home Loan Bank or the Department of Veterans Affairs.
