Electronic Health Information Exchange definition

Electronic Health Information Exchange means the use of electronic infrastructure to assist users in locating, and to facilitate the sharing and aggregation of, Patient Data held by multiple health care organizations for treatment, operations, public health and research-related purposes, and for other specified purposes authorized by Patients.
