Electronic protective system definition

Electronic protective system means a device or a series or assembly of interconnected devices which, when activated by automatic or manual means, produces an audible, visual, or electronic signal intended to detect or warn of a threat to a structure or its occupants. This term shall include a burglar alarm, burglar alarm system, a household fire warning system, or a single station fire alarm, all as defined in this Subpart, or a portion or combination of such alarms or systems. However, the term "electronic protective system" shall not include the following:

  • Electronic Protected Health Information means Protected Health Information that is maintained in or transmitted by electronic media.

  • Electronic prescription means a written prescription that is generated on an electronic application and is transmitted to a pharmacy as an electronic data file; Schedule II through V prescriptions shall be transmitted in accordance with 21 C.F.R. Part 1300.

  • Electronic Protected Health Information (EPHI) means Protected Health Information that is transmitted by electronic media or maintained in any medium described in the definition of electronic media at 45 CFR 160.103.

  • Electronic act means the creation or transmission originated on or off the schoolsite, by means of an electronic device, including, but not limited to, a telephone, wireless telephone, or other wireless communication device, computer, or pager, of a communication, including, but not limited to, any of the following:

  • electronic hearing means a hearing held by conference telephone or some other form of electronic technology allowing persons to hear one another; (“audience électronique”)
