electrical fitting work means the work of making, maintaining, repairing, altering, assembling, dismantling, connecting or testing electrical machines, electrical appliances, electrical instruments or other electrical equipment, and includes electrical installing work if that work is assembling, maintaining or altering the wiring between electrical components in plant or machinery;

  • Electrical work means the installation, alteration, reconstruction, or repair of electrical wiring.

  • Electrical Fitter means an employee who is mainly employed in the workshops manufacturing, fitting, and repairing electrical instruments, machines, and apparatus. Electrical fitting in this definition shall include armature and transformer winding, and people solely engaged in making and repairing instruments. The legitimate possession of a certificate of competency in this particular class of work issued by the Electrical Licensing Board under the Electricity Act 1994 shall be recognised as proof of efficiency.

  • tidal work means so much of any work authorised by this Order as is on, under or over tidal waters or tidal lands below the level of high water;

  • piece-work means any work the pay for which is estimated by the amount of work performed irrespective of the time occupied in its performance;

  • Building Work has the meaning given to it in section 6 of the Building and Construction Industry (Improving Productivity) Act 2016 (Cth);
