Elective Leave definition
Elective Leave means time the employee is permitted to be absent from work due to illness, family illness, quarantine or injury as a result of an accident. This does not include time away from work covered by WCB, ICBC or the UNB group insurance benefits.

This does not include time away from work when the employee’s time away from work is covered by WCB, ICBC or the UNBA group insurance benefits.
Examples of Elective Leave in a sentence
Section 36.1 Elective Leave shall be defined as any leave requested that is not semi-annual leave and may consist of vacation leave, compensatory leave, floating holiday, and/or alternative holiday leave.
Section 36.2 Elective Leave will be granted on a first come, first served basis.
Section 35.2 The PSC policy 204 shall be used for administering the Elective Leave, Semi- Annual Leave, and Emergency Leave bid process.
