ELDT means Entry-Level Driver Training required under 49 CFR Part 380, Subpart F.¶

Examples of ELDT in a sentence

  • When a CDL is a minimum qualification, and the employee does not have the appropriate licensure at hire or placement, the City will pay the third-party costs for the employee to attend any required Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) by a trainer designated on the FMCSA Training Provider Registry.

  • The City is registered to provide the necessary training for new commercial drivers per the Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) requirements adopted on February 7, 2022 by the Department of Motor Vehicles.

  • If the City terminates the employee prior to 24-months, the employee will not be subject to any repayment for the ELDT.

  • When the trainer is not engaged in ELDT BTW training, trainer will resume their regular rate of pay.

  • The City will pay for Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) for members required to obtain a Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) for the first time.

  • In the event the Employee is killed or permanently and totally disabled as defined in Iowa Code Chapter 85, or dies of any cause not related to Employee’s work for Employer, Employee or Employee’s estate shall be relieved of all obligation to reimburse Employer for ELDT tuition fees under this Agreement.

  • The ELDT training shall take place at the ELDT provider’s training site or where otherwise directed by the ELDT provider.

  • In the event Employee is dismissed during the 24-month mandatory work duration period, for cause, the Employee shall reimburse the Employer for one hundred percent (100%) of the total ELDT tuition fees incurred, regardless of how many months the Employee served into the 24 month total work duration period.

  • Members that require ELDT commit to regular full-time time service for two years following the completion of the ELDT.

  • The County will pay for Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) for members required to obtain a Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) for the first time; Upgrade an existing Class B CDL to a Class A CDL; or obtain a school bus (S), passenger (P), or hazardous materials (H) endorsement for the first time to satisfy the requirements of their position.
