Educational verification definition

Educational verification means ensuring that the selected applicant or employee possesses the educational credentials beyond high school listed on the application, resume, or cover letter or otherwise cited by the candidate that qualify the individual for the position sought.
Educational verification. Confirms the applicant's claimed educational institution, including the years attended and the degree/diploma received. • Criminal History: Review of criminal convictions and probation including local, county, state, and federal records for a period of at least seven years. The following factors will be considered for applicants with a criminal history: o The nature of the crime and its relationship to the position. o The time since the conviction. o The number (if more than one) of convictions. o Whether hiring, transferring or promoting the applicant would pose an unreasonable risk to the business, its employees or its customers and vendors.   • Independent educational evaluation means an evaluation conducted by a qualified examiner who is not employed by the public agency responsible for the education of the child in question.

  • Approved abuse education training program means a training program using a curriculum approved by the abuse education review panel of the department of public health or a training program offered by a hospital, a professional organization for physicians, or the department of human services, the department of education, an area education agency, a school district, the Iowa law enforcement academy, an Iowa college or university, or a similar state agency.

  • Vocational education means organized educational programs that are directly related to the preparation of individuals for paid or unpaid employment or for additional preparation for a career requiring other than a baccalaureate or advanced degree.

  • Specialist Physician means a licensed physician who qualifies as an attending physician and who examines a patient at the request of the attending physician or authorized nurse practitioner to aid in evaluation of disability, diagnosis, or provide temporary specialized treatment. A specialist physician may provide specialized treatment for the compensable injury or illness and give advice or an opinion regarding the treatment being rendered, or considered, for a patient’s compensable injury.

  • Training program means an NCA-approved Iowa college, the Iowa law enforcement academy or an Iowa hospital approved by the department to conduct emergency medical care training.
