Educational supervision definition

Educational supervision means face to face interaction between the supervisor and supervisee. Face to face supervision does not include interaction through electronic means unless said interaction is approved by the Board on a case by case basis prior to the supervision.
Educational supervision. (éducation surveillée) means in Article 5.1 d of the ECHR not merely measures which are directly related to school attendance and the like but, rather, also other aspects when an authority exercises parental rights or obligations (see, inter alia, Koniarska, paragraph 1, and D.G., paragraph 80).
Educational supervision means the activities of the supervisor, including case management functions, which are directed toward helping staff learn what they need to know to fulfill their job responsibilities as part of the agency’s commitment as a learning organization. This includes: helping new staff understand the job and develop beginning competence; maintaining an ongoing emphasis on developing staff proficiency to complete critical functions of the work; and assisting staff in their career planning and continued professional growth.
