Education Assistant definition

Education Assistant means an employee who possesses the required qualifications as determined by the Board and who is assigned by the Board to a certain school and/or program to work under the direction of the principal to assist teachers in the education of students.

Education Assistant means a person who is employed by the Board in accordance with Section 18 of the School Act.

Education Assistant. Limited Placement” An Education Assistant – Limited Placement is assigned to work with students whose medical or behavioural needs can’t be met by an Education Assistant in any other category listed in Schedule A.4. If the student is absent for more than one (1) consecutive day, the employee does not attend the workplace. If the assigned student moves to a different school in the district, the Education Assistant – Limited may follow the child to the new school.
