eCall definition
eCall means an in-vehicle emergency call to 112, made either automatically by means of the activation of in-vehicle sensors or manually, which carries a minimum set of data and establishes an audio channel between the vehicle and the eCall PSAP via public mobile wireless communications networks;
eCall means an emergency call to 112 from the vehicle, which can be made either automatically via activation of sensors from the vehicle or manually which transmits via mobile communication networks a minimum set of standard data (MSD) and establishes an audio channel (voice) between the persons that are in the vehicle and the most appropriate response center in case of an emergency (in accordance with European Commission Recommendation no. 2011/750 / EU of 8 September 2011).

eCall means 112-based eCALL in-vehicle system as set out in the European legislation, including EU Regulation 2015/758 of 29 April 2015 concerning type-approval requirements for the deployment of the eCALL in-vehicle system based on the 112 services and amending Directive 2007/46/EC and any subsequent pieces of EU legislation, including the recent Commission Delegated Regulation related to Next Generation eCALL, amending Regulation (EU) 2015/758 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards the standards relating to eCALL.
