Early Out definition

Early Out means an employee who leaves work due to 30.1 reasons for a period of time less than two (2) hours and is treated in the same manner as lateness below. This is equivalent to ½ of a sick day as defined above. Lateness: Late will be defined as 5 minutes or more up to one hour and 59 minutes after the employee’s shift begins and tardies will cease to exist. This is equivalent to 1/2 of a sick day as defined above. Leaving work without prior approval before the employee’s scheduled shift ends will be considered a code of conduct issue under Article 7. Weekend: for all shifts, except for the internal agency, begins 10:59 P.M. on Friday and ends 10:59 P.M. on Sunday each week. Rolling Twelve (12) Month Period: will be considered by beginning with the most recent occurrence of a sick day or its equivalent and counting twelve (12) consecutive months backwards.
Early Out means that 8-hour employees may reduce their normal workday and leave one hour early. This change in schedule need not be reflected on the employee’s timecard.
Early Out means the release of an Employee who appears as scheduled ready to work, prior to the end of their scheduled work period and for the remainder of the work period, due to lack of available work.

Examples of Early Out in a sentence

  • The time following Early Out dismissal shall be used as collaboration time, and teachers are expected to be on campus until the end of the normal student day.

  • Affected employees will always receive the minimum call in pay regardless of Mandatory Early Out.

  • During the Early Out time, on the Monday prior to the full week of parent conferences, this time will be used for PLC purposes and/or items related to parent conferences and no staff meeting or 5:00 day will be scheduled.

  • When there are insufficient volunteers for an Early Out opportunity, the part-time employees at work in the classification will be sent home by reverse seniority and by shift.

  • An Early Out shall not be scheduled during the full week of Parent Conferences occurring during Trimester 1.

  • Employees who have reached the Early Out maximum set out below in Clause 12.5(d) will not be required to Early Out, but a more senior employee who has not received the maximum set out below will be subject to Early-Out.

  • Employees can add their name to the Early Out list no earlier than 30 minutes prior to their shift start time.

  • If 15 years expire without the Flight Attendant aging into eligibility for retiree pleasure travel privileges, her/his Early Out Passes cease at the expiration of the 15-year period, and the Flight Attendant is ineligible for retiree pleasure travel privileges.

  • Early- Out is defined as an Associate leaving before the end of his/her scheduled shift without Managerial approval.

  • If during this 15 year period the Flight Attendant “ages” into eligibility for retiree pleasure travel privileges under the policies in effect at the time for United employees, her/his Early Out Passes convert to retiree pleasure travel privileges on the same terms and subject to the same conditions, present and future, as retirees.
