Blend means seed consisting of more than one variety of a kind, each in excess of five percent by weight of the whole.
Finished water means the water that is introduced into the distribution system of a public water system and is intended for distribution and consumption without further treatment, except as treatment necessary to maintain water quality in the distribution system (e.g., booster disinfection, addition of corrosion control chemicals).
FAT means total lipids, and includes phospholipids;
Oxygenate means an oxygen-containing, ashless, organic compound, such as alcohol or ether, that may be used as fuel or fuel supplement.
Additives means non-hydrocarbon compounds added to or blended with a product to modify its properties;
Gasohol means a blended fuel composed of gasoline and fuel grade ethanol.
Cell means a single encased electrochemical unit containing one positive and one negative electrode which exhibits a voltage differential across its two terminals.
Encapsulant means a substance that forms a barrier between lead-based paint and the environment using a liquid-applied coating (with or without reinforcement materials) or an adhesively bonded covering material.

Beam scattering foil means a thin piece of material (usually metallic) placed in the beam to scatter a beam of electrons in order to provide a more uniform electron distribution in the useful beam.
Freeboard means a factor of safety usually expressed in feet above a flood level for purposes of floodplain management. "Freeboard" tends to compensate for the many unknown factors that could contribute to flood heights greater than the height calculated for a selected size flood and floodway conditions, such as wave action, blockage of bridge or culvert openings, and the hydrological effect of urbanization of the watershed.
Nematode means invertebrate animals of the phylum nemathelminthes, and class nematoda, i.e., unsegmented round worms with elongated, fusiform, or saclike bodies covered with cuticle, and inhabiting soil, water, plants, or plant parts, may also be called nemas or eelworms.
Pyrolysis means the thermal degradation of a substance in the absence of any oxidising agent, which does not form part of the substance itself, to produce char and gas and/or liquid; and
Sorbent means a material that is used to soak up free liquids by either adsorption or absorption, or both. “Sorb” means to either adsorb or absorb, or both.

Burn means tissue injury caused by contact with heat, chemicals, electricity, friction, or radioactive agents.
Pressurized gas duster means a pressurized product labeled to remove dust from a surface solely by means of mass air or gas flow, including surfaces such as photographs, photographic film negatives, computer keyboards, and other types of surfaces that cannot be cleaned with solvents. “Pressurized Gas Duster” does not include “Dusting Aid.”
Ash means all species of the genus Fraxinus.
Blending means either the mixing of originally segregated Binned Grades within a Facility or during the outturn process.
Filter means material placed in the useful beam to preferentially absorb selected radiations.
Brachytherapy means a method of radiation therapy in which sealed sources are utilized to deliver a radiation dose at a distance of up to a few centimeters, by surface, intracavitary, or interstitial application.
Fabricating means to make, build, create, produce, or assemble components or property to work in a new or different manner.
LSD means lysergic acid diethylamide.
NBOME means the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners.
Grinding means to reduce to powder or small fragments and includes mechanical chipping or drilling.
Tissue means a portion of the human body other than an organ or an eye. The term does not include blood unless the blood is donated for the purpose of research or education.
