Dwelling contractor definition
Dwelling contractor means any person, firm or corpo- ration engaged in the business of performing construction or ero- sion control work on a one− or 2− family dwelling.
Dwelling contractor means any person, firm or corpo- ration engaged in the business of performing erosion control or construction work such as framing, roofing, siding, insulating, masonry or window replacement work covered under this code and who takes out a building permit. “Dwelling contractor” does not include the owner of an existing dwelling, an owner who will reside in a new dwelling or a person, firm or corporation engaging exclusively in electrical, plumbing, or heating, ventilating and air conditioning work.
