DV/SA definition

DV/SA means Domestic Violence and/or Sexual Assault. Domestic Violence and/or Sexual Assault refers to the victimization of a person with whom the abuser has or has had an intimate romantic or spousal relationship. It includes violence against both men and women and may encompass social/financial isolation, deprivation, physical, emotional and/or mental abuse.

Examples of DV/SA in a sentence

  • Recipients must comply with the requirements of the NCSA and/or DVSA and CNCS’s implementing regulations, as applicable.

  • The Part 1, 2 and 3 tests are external and conducted by the DVSA.

  • This is dependent on you not having made any deliberate false statements in the DBS application and the DVSA determination not being as a result of any action by you after commencing the course.

  • Some of the factors which the DVSA consider are as follows: • whether you have any criminal convictions (and if so, the nature of those convictions); • whether you have had a clear DBS check; • whether you have any motoring or non-motoring cautions, convictions or fixed penalty notices; and • if you are medically fit to drive and your eyesight meets the DVSA standard.

  • You should carefully consider whether you meet the DVSA standards to becoming an Approved Driving Instructor.

  • If the DVSA deem you not to be ‘a fit and proper person’ to be a driving instructor, then a refund of 50% of your training fee is payable, providing acceptable supporting documentation is provided to us.

  • It is your responsibility to apply for the Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check, to pay for all entries to the Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) qualifying exams and, upon successful completion, the fee required to be placed on the DVSA ADI register.

  • It is fully your responsibility to arrange for the provision of a ‘Pupil’ for the purpose of the DVSA Part 3 test.

  • This award is authorized by and subject to The National and Community Service Act of 1990, as amended, (42 U.S.C. 12501 et seq.) (NCSA) and/or the Domestic Volunteer Service Act of 1973, as amended, (42 U.S.C. 4950 et seq.) (DVSA), the Federal Grant and Cooperative Agreement Act (FGCAA), 31 U.S.C. §§6301-6308, and CNCS’s implementing regulations in 45 CFR Chapter XII and/or XXV.

  • As at the date of this Agreement, the DVSA require You to have passed Your Part 2 and 3 tests within 2 years of passing Your Part 1 test.
