Durational definition

Durational. An employee hired for a specific term, for a reason not provided above, including a grant or specially funded program of a specific term, not to exceed one year. Status: A temporary employee shall become durational after 6 months or one year if extended.

Examples of Durational in a sentence

  • In accordance with the provisions of Public Act 03-174, employees working in a teaching position solely on the basis of a Durational Shortage Area Permit (DSAP) shall be included in the bargaining unit.

  • A certified employee or an employee serving under a Durational Shortage Area Permit (“DSAP”) who is replacing a teacher for more than forty (40) consecutive school days on an approved or authorized leave of absence.

  • A certified employee or an employee serving under a Durational Shortage Area Permit (“DSAP”) who is filling a position for more than forty (40) consecutive school days for which a permanent teacher has not been appointed.

  • A certified employee or an employee serving under a Durational Shortage Area Permit (“DSAP”) who is filling a position for more than forty (40) consecutive school days due to the resignation, retirement or termination of a regularly appointed teacher prior to the end of the academic year to which he/she was appointed.

  • Durational and Temporary Employees Definitions: Temporary: Position filled for a short term, seasonal, or emergency situation, including to cover for a permanent position when the incumbent is on workers’ compensation or other extended leave, not to exceed 6 months.

  • The pupil load for Durational and regularly scheduled part-time employees shall be governed by Article 7, Section One of the Agreement concerning full-time employees.

  • The Board recognizes the Norwich Teachers League as the exclusive representative for purposes of collective bargaining of all certified professional employees of the Board, including those employees holding Durational Shortage Area Permits, except temporary substitutes and employees occupying positions requiring a supervisory or administrative certificate.
