Duplicate Inspection definition
Duplicate Inspection means an initial inspection by an authorised person who assumes full responsibility for the satisfactory completion of the work signing the maintenance release, before being subsequently inspected by a second independent and competent person who attests to the satisfactory completion of the work recorded and that no deficiencies have been found;
Duplicate Inspection means an inspection first made and certified by one qualified person and subsequently made and certified by a second qualified person; (Described in IS: 5.6.1.5);
Duplicate Inspection means an inspection on a critical control system, or a vital point on an aircraft, the failure of which system or vital point could result in a malfunction or defect endangering the safe operation of the aircraft, which is first carried out and certified by a person authorized to do so under these Regulations and then subsequently carried out and certified by a second person so authorized under these Regulations, with both inspections being completed independent of each other and prior to the aircraft being released to service.
