DRUGGABLE TARGET definition

DRUGGABLE TARGET means a target (e.g., a nucleic acid sequence and/or the Protein that it encodes), for which there is reasonable evidence (based upon bioinformatics analysis) to suggest that such target is of a class that is capable of being (a) modulated by a compound and (b) configured into an assay for high throughput screening, used for structure-based drug design or used in a method to isolate a compound.
DRUGGABLE TARGET means (a) a nucleic acid sequence and/or the Protein it encodes, where there is reasonable evidence (based upon bioinformatics analysis) to suggest that the Protein is of a class that (i) is reasonably believed to be capable, given commercially reasonable efforts over a [**] period, of being developed into a Configured Assay, and (ii) is reasonably believed to be capable, given commercially reasonable efforts, of being modulated by Small Molecules identified through high throughput screening, and (b) any other class of nucleic acid sequences and/or the associated encoded Proteins that is determined to be a Druggable Target by mutual agreement of the Program Directors. Druggable Targets under subsection Confidential Materials omitted and filed separately with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Asterisks denote omissions. (a) consist of the following classes: [**] (each, a "Druggable Target Class").
DRUGGABLE TARGET. Druggable Target means a target (i.e., a nucleic acid sequence and/or the protein that it encodes), for which there is reasonable evidence (based upon bioinformatics analysis) to suggest that such target is of a class that is capable of being (a) modulated by a Small Molecule and (b) configured into an assay for Small Molecule high throughput screening or used for structure-based Small Molecule drug design. By way of example, a Druggable Target may include, without limitation, a protein in one of the following classes: G protein-coupled receptors, nuclear hormone receptors, ion channels and enzymes.

More Definitions of DRUGGABLE TARGET

DRUGGABLE TARGET means any Target for which the activity of the protein can be modulated by an active site or allosteric small molecule chemical entity, including such proteins that can be [***].
