Driving Licence Check definition

Driving Licence Check means the checking of a Data Subject’s driving licence information against the records held centrally by the Driver Vehicle and Licensing Agency (DVLA) for that individual with a view to confirming their licence status, penalties, endorsements, revocations disqualification, suspension and confirming their entitlement to drive their vehicle.

Examples of Driving Licence Check in a sentence

  • Under the terms of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ( GDPR) the Company and the DVLA are required to obtain Permission to a Driving Licence Check from the Licence Holder before releasing the information through the Company’s Services to the Client.

  • The line manager must record all details of this annual check and retain a record in line with the requirements of the Annual Driving Licence Check procedure, for internal audit purposes.
