Drilling pit definition

Drilling pit means any pit, including working pits and reserve pits, used to temporarily confine fluid or exempt exploration and production waste resulting from oil and gas activities, or store spent drilling fluids generated during the drilling or completion of any oil and gas exploratory hole, service well, or storage well.
