Downflooding point definition

Downflooding point means any opening through which flooding of the spaces which comprise the reserve buoyancy could take place while the craft is in the intact or damaged condition, and inclines to an angle past the angle of equilibrium.
Downflooding point means any opening, irrespective of size, that would permit passage of water through a water/weathertight structure (e.g., opening windows), but excludes any opening kept closed to an appropriate standard of water/weathertightness at all times other than when required for access or for operation of portable submersible bilge pumps in an emergency (e.g., non-opening windows of similar strength and weathertight integrity to the structure in which they are installed).
Downflooding point means any opening, irrespective of size, that would permit passage of water through a water/weathertight structure (e.g., opening windows), but excludes any opening kept closed to an appropriate standard of

More Definitions of Downflooding point

Downflooding point means any open- ing, irrespective of size, that would permit passage of water through a wa- ter/weathertight structure (e.g., opening windows), but excludes any opening kept closed to an appropriate standard of wa- ter/weathertightness at all times other than when required for access or for operation
Downflooding point means any opening in the vessels enclosed volume through which progressive flooding could take place which is not able to be closed water/weathertight. Openings which are normally kept closed to an appropriate standard of water/weathertightness and only opened when required for access or operation of equipment and then closed again are not considered to be downflooding points. Small diameter (ø<3mm) compartment vents, found typically on the sealed hulls of pontoon vessels, are not considered to be downflooding points.

  • INTER-CONNECTION POINT/ DELIVERY/ METERING POINT means a single point at 220kV or above, where the power from the Project(s) is injected into the identified ISTS Substation (including the dedicated transmission line connecting the Projects with the substation system) as specified in the RfS document. Metering shall be done at this interconnection point where the power is injected into. For interconnection with grid and metering, the WPDs shall abide by the relevant CERC/ SERC Regulations, Grid Code and Central Electricity Authority (Installation and Operation of Meters) Regulations, 2006 as amended and revised from time to time.
