DOP testing definition

DOP testing means the process for testing the effectiveness of HEPA filtered equipment at removing asbestos fibres from the air. The test requires introducing a steam of aerosol [dioctyl phthalate] particles [ 0.3 um or larger] on the upstream side of an operating HEPA filter and measuring the downstream side of the filter with a particle detector.
