Do Not Resuscitate definition

Do Not Resuscitate or "DNR" means a medical treatment order that says cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) will not be attempted if a person's heart and/or breathing stops.
Do Not Resuscitate means in the event of an acute cardiac or respiratory arrest no cardiopulmonary resuscitative measures will be initiated.
Do Not Resuscitate. (DNR) order means a parent’s or physician’s written request to withhold life saving techniques or resuscitative measures in the event of a respiratory or cardiac arrest suffered by a severely impaired or terminally ill student.
