DNS update time Clause Samples
The DNS update time clause defines the period required for changes to Domain Name System (DNS) records to propagate across the internet. In practice, this clause specifies how long it may take for updates such as new IP addresses or domain configurations to become effective and visible to users worldwide, often referencing typical propagation windows like 24 to 48 hours. Its core function is to set expectations and clarify potential delays in DNS-related changes, thereby preventing misunderstandings or disputes about when updates will be fully operational.
DNS update time. Refers to the time measured from the reception of an EPP confirmation to a transform command on a domain name, until the name servers of the parent domain name answer “DNS queries” with data consistent with the change made. This only applies for changes to DNS information.
