DNA VACCINE definition
DNA VACCINE means a pharmaceutical composition for PROPHYLACTIC IMMUNIZATION and/or THERAPEUTIC IMMUNIZATION against infectious disease in humans, wherein the ANTIGEN (including LICENSED ANTIGENS) is encoded in nucleic acid and expressed in vivo following introduction of the nucleic acid.
DNA VACCINE means a vaccine comprising a DNA plasmid vector. For the avoidance of doubt, a vaccine that comprises a Dendritic Cell containing a DNA plasmid vector is not a DNA Vaccine.
DNA VACCINE means either a circular or a linear double-stranded DNA containing a gene(s) (or portion(s) thereof) encoding at least one antigen (or portion(s) thereof) of a Virus and designed for the gene(s) (or portion(s) thereof) to be expressed subsequent to in vivo administration and induce an immune response directed against the relevant antigens.
