Parkland means any publicly owned land which is designated or used as a public park, recreation area, wildlife or waterfowl refuge or historic site.
Kerma or "K" means the quantity defined by the International Commission on Radiation Units and Measurements. The kerma is the quotient of dEtr by dm, where dEtr is the sum of the initial kinetic energies of all charged particles liberated by uncharged particles in a mass dm of materials; thus K=dEtr/dm, in units of J/kg, where the special name for the units of kerma is gray (Gy). When the materials is air, the quantity is referred to as "air kerma."
Graywater means untreated wastewater that has not been contaminated by any toilet discharge, has not been affected by infectious, contaminated, or unhealthy bodily wastes, and does not present a threat from contamination by unhealthful processing, manufacturing, or operating wastes. "Graywater" includes, but is not limited to, wastewater from bathtubs, showers, bathroom washbasins, clothes washing machines, and laundry tubs, but does not include wastewater from kitchen sinks or dishwashers. Health and Safety Code Section 17922.12.
PETE means polyethylene terephthalate, labeled by the SPI code #1.
Gray (Gy) means the SI unit of absorbed dose. One gray is equal to an absorbed dose of 1 joule per kilogram (100 rad).
McDaniel means McDaniel & Associates Consultants Ltd.
CORA means the Colorado Open Records Act, §§24-72-200.1 et. seq., C.R.S.
Roentgen means the special unit of exposure. One roentgen (R) equals 2.58 × 10-4 coulombs/kilogram of air (see “Exposure” and 38.4(4)).
Growler means any refillable, resealable container complying with federal law.
DARO means "days after the effective date for award of the contractual action".
Freeway means a divided multi-lane highway for through traffic with all crossroads separated in grade and with full control of access.
Cropland means land used for the production of adapted crops for harvest, alone or in a rotation with grasses and legumes, and includes row crops, small grain crops, hay crops, nursery crops, orchard crops, and other similar specialty crops.
Ward means an individual for whom a guardian is appointed.
Health care means any of the following intended for use in the diagnosis, treatment, mitigation, or prevention of a human ailment or impairment:
Beach means the sandy, pebbly or rocky shore -
PAT means a document or product accessibility template, including any Information Technology Industry Council Voluntary Product Accessibility Template or VPAT®, that specifies how information and software products, such as websites, applications, software and associated content, conform to WCAG 2.0 Level AA.
Barber means a person who shaves or trims the beard of a person; cuts, trims, shampoos, relaxes, curls, permanently waves, dresses, tints, bleaches, colors, arranges, or styles the hair of a person; massages the face and head of a person; or renders personal services of a similar nature customarily done by a barber.
Shoreland means land, as defined in Minn. Stat. § 103F.205, subd. 4, located within 1,000 feet from the normal high water mark of a lake, pond, or flowage and 300 feet of a river or stream or the landward side of floodplain delineated by ordinance on such a river or stream, whichever is greater.
slaughterhouse means slaughterhouse as defined in point 1.16 of Annex I of Regulation (EC) No 853/2004;
Seaplane means an aeroplane capable normally of taking off from and alighting solely on water;
Provost means the Provost of the University;
Legionella means a genus of bacteria, some species of which have caused a type of pneumonia called Legionnaires Disease.
Warden means the Warden In-charge of Hall of Residence VIII and includes other Wardens of the said Hall.
Expressway means a divided arterial highway for through traffic with full or partial control of access with an excess of fifty percent of all crossroads separated in grade.
Diocese means the Church of England diocese in which the Academies are situated;
Soda fountain means a place especially equipped
