Distributary definition

Distributary means a canal so designated by the irrigation department or a canal with all works, whose designed head discharge is between 20 cusec and 500 cusec;
Distributary means any channel taking off from the main or Branch canal and carrying a head discharge upto 350 cusecs.
Distributary means a stream that flows away from, and does not rejoin, the main channel, and which usually flows to a sea, lake, stream, or other body of water.
