disease area definition
disease area means a forest disease area constituted under this Part;
disease area means, with respect to any Permitted License, a specific therapeutic area (including, without limitation, a particular disease, condition, syndrome, or disorder, or a defined group of related diseases, conditions, syndromes, or disorders).
disease area means any generic type of disease, such as cancer, ophthalmologic disease, cardiovascular disease, etc., as opposed to a specific Indication within a Disease Area, such as lung cancer, stomach cancer, etc.

disease area means a discrete clinically recognized form of a disease. For clarity, (a) the treatment or prevention of the same Disease Area [***] shall be treated as the same disease for the purpose of this Agreement; (b) the treatment or prevention of the same disease in [***] shall be treated as the same Disease Area for purposes of this Agreement; (c) with respect to any [***] shall be treated as the same Disease Area for purposes of this Agreement; and (d) treatment or prevention of different Disease Areas such as [***] for purposes of this Agreement. In addition, in all cases the prevention of a disease, shall not be treated as a separate Disease Area from treatment of the same Disease Area for purposes of this Agreement.
