Discovery Research definition

Discovery Research means research activities directed to (a) modifying, or making derivatives of, any Collaboration Compound or Collaboration Product, (b) identifying the molecular target of any Collaboration Compound or Collaboration Product, or (c) conducting any structure activity relationship work using a Collaboration Compound or Collaboration Product.
Discovery Research means that research portion of the Preclinical Program conducted hereunder to discover and evaluate Monoclonal Antibodies and Small Molecules in order to identify potential lead Monoclonal Antibodies and Small Molecules that exhibit sufficient Trp-p8 binding and other characteristics to warrant further evaluation in Developmental Research.

  • If the RSG is unable to reach agreement on a decision, the decision shall be escalated to the Director of Technology Transfer at the Trust and the head of Discovery Research at PTC for resolution.

  • If the JRC is unable to reach agreement on a matter, the matter may be referred, at the request of either Party, for resolution through good faith discussions between Wyeth's Executive Vice President of Discovery Research and Trubion's Senior Vice President of Research and Development or their respective designees.

  • In the event one Party does not wish to continue the Research Collaboration, but the other Party desires to conduct additional Discovery Research Activities, the Research Term [***].

  • Each Party shall use Commercially Reasonable Efforts to carry out the Manufacturing activities assigned to it under the Discovery Research Plan, the Joint Exploratory Development Plan, each Joint Plan and the Manufacturing Plan in a timely and professional manner.

Related to Discovery Research

  • Basic research means any original investigation for the advancement of scientific or technological knowledge that will enhance the research capacity of this state in a way that increases the ability to attract to or develop companies, jobs, researchers, or students in this state.

  • Research means a methodical investigation into a subject.

  • Research Use shall have the meaning given in Section 2.2.2 of this Agreement.

  • Clinical laboratory means a facility for the microbiological, serological, chemical, hematological, radiobioassay, cytological, immunohematological, pathological, or other examination of materials derived from the human body for the purpose of providing information for the diagnosis, prevention, or treatment of a disease or assessment of a medical condition.

  • Phase I Clinical Trial means a human clinical trial that is intended to initially evaluate the safety and/or pharmacological effect of a Product in subjects or that would otherwise satisfy requirements of 21 C.F.R. 312.21(a), or its foreign equivalent.
