Disaster Council definition

Disaster Council means that the Disaster Council provides for communication and coordination between and amongst the public and private sectors in the Operational Area. The Disaster Council reviews and makes recommendations on matters pertinent to the development of emergency and disaster mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery plans and programs. Ultimate approval of Operational Area plans remains with the Board of Supervisors. The County Disaster Council is authorized to recommend for adoption to the Board of Supervisors emergency and mutual aid plans and agreements as well as ordinances, resolutions, rules and regulations as may be necessary to implement such plans and agreements, and any necessary amendments.
Disaster Council means the body of individuals who are identified by the Board of Supervisors to assist the Emergency Operations Manager in developing appropriate emergency and disaster plans.

  • Jurisdiction Program Administrators must be approved by the Jurisdiction Unified Disaster Council representative.

  • Upon adoption of such a resolution, a certified copy thereof shall forthwith be filed with the State Disaster Council.

  • This may include, but is not limited to, Unified Disaster Council member(s), Dispatch Agency(ies), Emergency Manager(s), and/or Special District(s) (e.g., Universities, Fire Protection Districts, and Water Districts, etc.) The Sheriff’s Communications Center and County OES may be available to initiate requested WEA and AlertSanDiego messages from a Public Safety Official for emergencies in incorporated county areas if the Jurisdiction is unable to do so.

  • All recommendations for substantive changes to this MOA shall be submitted to the Unified Disaster Council for approval.

  • The District Disaster Council shall, during emergency operations, (1) request mutual aid on behalf of a member political subdivision, under the circumstances identified in this Agreement, (2) keep a record of all Requests for Assistance and Acknowledgments, (3) report on the status of ongoing emergency or disaster-related mutual aid as appropriate, and assist participants in meeting all procedural and other requirements, including those pertaining to federal and State cost reimbursement.

  • School nurses shall not be required to perform services for an outside agency unless deemed by the Ventura County Disaster Council.

  • Jurisdiction Program Administrator(s) must be approved by the Jurisdiction Unified Disaster Council representative.
