When Auto Disarm is enabled, it is similar to discretionary trading in that you decide when to trade and when to not trade.
Auto Disarm On/Off Default = Off Turning this mode On means that the algo will automatically Disarm (i.e. not enter any trades) immediately after the last algo- generated trade is closed.
The Arm/Disarm option in the dropdown menu only appears when in Auto Disarm mode.
This is what it looks like when the algo is Armed: When you switch back to normal auto trading mode (by turning off Auto Disarm Mode in the parameters window), the above menu option for changing the Arm state will no longer be visible in the dropdown menu.
When in Auto Disarm Mode, you can control whether the algo is Armed or Disarmed by accessing the User Interface (UI) dropdown menu, where you will find a menu option to select the Arm state: When you first enable the algo, in Auto Disarm Mode, the algo will be initially Disarmed.
The end result of using Auto Disarm Mode is that you decide when the conditions are right for engaging in the market and only then will the algo take a trade when the next signal occurs.
Auto Disarm Mode is activated simply by checking the box next to the Auto Disarm parameter in the Entries section of the parameters window: You can revert back to continuous fully automated trading by unchecking that box.
If turned On, the algo will Disarm after each trade and then you have to re-Arm the algo before a new trade can be taken.
Once a trade is entered in Auto Disarm Mode, the algo automatically Disarms immediately after that trade closes.
