Direct teaching means training activity associated directly with a student’s learning as outlined in clause M20 - (Direct Teaching and Coordination). Directorate means an administrative unit so named or other government agency within the meaning of the PSM Act and Calvary Health Care ACT Limited. Director-general means a person engaged under subsection 31(2) of the PSM Act as the director-general of the directorate and includes a person who exercises head of service powers in relation to the appointment, engagement and employment of staff in a government agency in accordance with the PSM Act or other Territory law, but only in relation to staff of that government agency. Disability means a permanent or ongoing physical or psychological disability attributable to one or more intellectual, cognitive, neurological, sensory or physical impairments or to one or more impairments attributable to a psychiatric condition. Domestic Partnership means a relationship between 2 people, whether of a different or the same sex, living together as a couple on a genuine domestic basis. EDS designated position means a position at a Educator Level 1 or 2, or Head of Department Level classification that has been designated as an Educational Development and Support position in line with clause M23 - (Designation of Educational Development and Support (EDS) Positions) of this Agreement.
Direct teaching means instruction primarily by educational television or radio or by live interactive transmission in a subject or course of study which is a part of the public school curriculum as authorized by the State Board of Education.

Examples of Direct teaching in a sentence

  • Direct teaching responsibilities shall not exceed twenty-two and one-half (22 1/2) hours per week.

  • Every effort shall be made to schedule lunch between 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Direct teaching responsibilities shall not exceed twenty (20) hours per week (the equivalent of five (5) classroom teaching periods).
